Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, it is not necessary. You can contact me directly.
Where will sessions take place?
Face to face sessions will take place at YouNique Wellbeing Studios in Bexhill-on-Sea. The address:
11 Windmill Dr, Bexhill-on-Sea TN39 4DG

Online sessions are held via the secure platform, Zoom. I will send a Zoom link to your email address, it will allow you to join the online session. For sessions conducted by phone I will call you from my mobile number for the duration of the session.
Where are you based?
I am based in a coastal town - Bexhill-on-Sea, in East Sussex.
How often do I need to see you?
Everyone is unique. There is no one-size-fits all therapy and duration will depend on the issue you bring and what you wish to get out of therapy. The usual practice is to make a commitment of 6 or 12 weekly sessions, and then review our work together. This may be a sufficient number of sessions or you may then decide to continue on an open-ended basis.
I may on occasion offer fortnightly sessions to new clients to increase accessibility, for those who otherwise might be unable to.

How long will I need therapy for?
Therapy is a personal process and the length of time it takes is dependent on the individual and the issues they wish to explore.
I offer both short (lasting between 6-12 weeks) and long term therapy.

What will the first session look like?
You may naturally feel a bit nervous about starting therapy, so I will explain what you can expect from me and learn what your needs and goals are (initial assessment). The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other better. We will go at a pace that is comfortable for you.
What is the cancellation policy?
I kindly request a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. With sufficient notice, I can accommodate rescheduling based on availability. The session will be charged at the full rate for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.
Will our sessions be confidential?
Yes, it is important that you feel safe during sessions. Qualified therapists undertake monthly supervision but all clients are anonymised in this process. There are some exceptions to confidentiality such as "harm to self or others", terrorist activities, drug trafficking and money laundering or by the order of court. The "Terms and Contract" will be sent to you prior to our first session, which outlines more about confidentiality.
