Trauma-informed therapy for anxiety and burnout
For when “holding it all together” has become your only way of existing. Step out of survival mode and back into life that feels grounded, authentic and manageable.
I offer counselling & psychothrapy online across the UK & EU and face to face in Bexhill on Sea.
Hi and welcome, I’m Iga (she/her),
I’m an Integrative Counsellor supporting adults (18+) who feel stuck in survival mode - often highly capable on the outside, but exhausted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. Many of the people I work with are used to holding everything together, while quietly struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, low self-esteem, or the lasting impact of stress and trauma.
You might have tried nervous system tools, podcasts, or self-help books, yet still feel that something deeper hasn’t shifted. There may be a part of you that understands why you feel this way, but another part that’s still overwhelmed, numb, or on edge. I know how exhausting that can be and I'd love to help.
My approach to therapy is attuned and collaborative. We work at your pace, exploring your patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, supporting your nervous system, and helping you reconnect with parts of yourself that learned to hide in order to cope.
Our work is shaped by your hopes, goals, and needs, with a clear sense of direction but without pressure or expectation. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s been keeping you in survival mode, so you can reconnect with yourself, build inner safety, and begin to thrive - not just cope.
Clients often describe me as warm, open, and easy to talk to. I offer a space that feels authentic and emotionally safe, where you can be met with compassion and honesty. When it feels supportive, I can gently challenge you to deepen the work, and I also use humour where it brings lightness and connection.
Life may not look the way you imagined
You might find yourself feeling unworthy, stuck, and drained, questioning your identity and whether you can create a life that feels better.
Life’s challenges might make you feel like you’ve failed, leaving you wondering why you keep pushing forward.
Deep down, you long for joy, peace, and connection - yet fears and insecurities keep creeping in, convincing you that it’s out of reach.
Perhaps you’ve learnt to run from the pain or hide it away, hoping that one day it will fade. You might find yourself caught in cycles of self-blame, isolation, or exhaustion.
I hear you. I see you. I am here to help.
Beginning therapy often comes at a moment when something inside you is ready for change - even if you still feel unsure or afraid. It takes courage to open yourself to a safe, trusting relationship and to gently explore experiences that may have been carried alone for a long time. When you feel ready to take that step, therapy can become a meaningful space for understanding, growth, and reconnection with yourself.
Who I work with
You might be here because:
You feel constantly on edge, anxious, burnt-out, or unable to relax
Overthinking, perfectionism, or people-pleasing are wearing you down
You feel disconnected from your needs, emotions, or sense of self
Past relational or emotional trauma still affects your confidence or relationships
You feel numb or low, yet also overwhelmed by your emotions
You struggle to rest without guilt or anxiety
You feel like an imposter despite your achievements
You feel exhausted, yet rest feels unbearable, it floods you with guilt and anxiety
You’re questioning who you are beyond roles, responsibilities, or expectations
You’re tired of just getting through the day and want life to feel more meaningful and manageable
If any of this sounds familiar, don’t struggle one alone - I’d love to support you.
How therapy can help
Together, we can work towards:
Having a safe, confidential space to offload - somewhere you don’t have to hold it all together, explain yourself, or protect anyone else’s feelings
Helping you understand your nervous system responses and develop practical, compassionate ways to regulate
Reducing anxiety, overwhelm, and self-criticism
Feeling calmer and more grounded, without constant mental noise
Reconnecting with emotions such as anxiety, anger, or grief - at a pace that feels safe
Healing the impact of relational trauma and repeated experiences of not feeling safe, seen, or supported
Releasing shame and softening your inner critic
Developing healthier boundaries and self-trust
Feeling safe enough to rest, feel, and choose yourself
Moving from survival mode into a life that feels more connected, fulfilling, and true to you
Starting therapy can feel daunting, therefore I offer a free 20-minute consultation via Zoom or phone so we can meet, discuss your needs, and see if we’re a good fit.
